Barry Turland

Barry is a local artist . He is self-taught and loves the challenge of watercolours.  He tries to capture changes in light and dark, which he introduces into his work just like a photograph.  Sometimes he will create a painting from an original drawing in his little sketch book of something that has caught his eye.  More recently he has introduced more abstract elements into his work and has used this technique into working with oils.  Barry also undertakes commissions.
