Brian Giggins
The heritage of Towcester and other places in Northamptonshire has taken up much of my free time since I retired as the planning archaeologist for Milton Keynes. To wind down, I garden, walk with friends and sketch outdoors, the latter being something which I mainly do on holidays and days out. Most of my artistic endeavours are confined to pen, ink and wash views in my sketchbooks but occasionally I will branch out into larger pieces and use different media. Art is something that I want to do more of, and that is the reason why I have recently joined Towcester and District Art Society which means that most weeks I spend an evening enjoying this hobby amongst good company.
