Paula Kirk
Paula was born and brought up around Buckingham so has always lived locally. Art was always her favourite subject at school and she enjoyed studying this through to taking her Art O level. After leaving school she continued to have lots of craft based hobbies but her interest returned to painting after she went into her son’s class at school to support at a painting lesson. She was inspired to enrol at evening classes which she attended for a few years before joining the art society. As a Nursery Nurse she finds her painting skills come in handy when working with the children, she often gets to help them create large scale mixed media pieces that are very different from her own work as she mainly paints detailed watercolours. She likes to spend her free time visiting exhibitions by some of her favourite artists and gains inspiration from the work of Ann Blockley and Charles Rennie Macintosh.
